Manfood spiced tomato chutney completes any Indian meal. The chutney bursts with Indian spices – like coriander, cumin and curry leaves – for a warm and flavourful accompaniment to starters and side dishes.
And it’s not just for Indian food. If there’s one thing we love, it’s popping chutney in a cheese sandwich. Add a spoonful of the spiced tomato chutney to a burger or use as a dip for spiced lamb kebabs at a barbecue.
Use it to add oomph to homemade curries, too. Brown pieces of chicken, lamb or beef in a pan and add a couple of tablespoons of spiced tomato chutney thinned with a little water. Then your yoghurt or tinned tomatoes and continue cooking as normal – just remember that there’s already spices in the chutney, so you may not need to add much extra.
Manfood was started by friends Jon Honeyball and Andre Dang. When Jon complained about the lack of properly crisp and chunky pickles, Andre took up the challenge of creating the perfect pickle. The first success became Manfood’s chunky piccalilli. Andre soon turned his hand to classics like bread & butter pickles and mango chutney.
