Use this Himalayan pink salt plate to serve and season food with flair. Slowly heat the salt plate and use it to present scallops or seared fish at the table, or freeze the block and serve homemade salted caramel ice cream or a savoury sorbet. The tight crystal lattice in the Himalayan salt block means that it holds its temperature for long periods of time – and can even be used for cooking ingredients such as eggs and bacon once heated.
Also known as a pierre de sel, the dusty pink plate makes a beautiful serving platter. At nearly 4cm high, it’s a substantial block that makes a real impact in the middle of the table. This presentation box includes a booklet with usage instructions as well as recipes including parsnip & chilli pancakes, salt block steak, and slow roasted tomatoes. It’s a fantastic gift for any food lover or chef.

How to use your salt block plate:
How to clean a Himalayan salt plate
Wait for the salt plate to reach room temperature then remove any cooking residue with a sponge or brush. Use a damp cloth to clean, then dry it with a tea towel and allow the remaining water to evaporate. Do not immerse in water.
Dimensions: the block measures 30.48cm x 20.32cm x 3.81cm (12” x 8” x 1.5”).
Please note: The salt plates are a natural product and do vary slightly in colour. Because salt plates are made of salt and not stone, and need to be heated and cooled extremely carefully, we can't guarantee against cracking during heating. Take care to follow the instructions that come with the salt plate.
