Gilchesters Organic Pizza & Ciabatta Wheat Flour

Gilchesters organic pizza & ciabatta wheat flour makes it easy to bake authentic Italian breads at home. The blend of classic strong white flour and semolina flour makes the dough wonderfully elastic – perfect for stretching out a thin pizza base and for capturing the large air bubbles that make a great ciabatta.

Every bag of Gilchesters organic pizza & ciabatta wheat flour includes a recipe for olive & pesto ciabatta, as well as tips on how to get the most out of your heritage grain flour blend.

Gilchesters Organics is a family business run by husband and wife team, Andrew and Sybille Wilkinson. Their farm and mill are based just north of Hadrian’s Wall in Scotland. Gilchesters grow organic heritage grains and use a strict crop and cattle rotation system, to ensure their soil is never depleted of essential nutrients and minerals.

After harvesting, Gilchesters use a traditional stone mill to grind the grains into flour. Stone milling preserves the high concentrations of vitamins and minerals within the grains. All of Gilchesters Organics’ flours still contain the precious wheat germ, so they’re higher in fibre than most supermarket flours. The wheat germ is also a great source of vitamin E and essential fatty acids.

Ingredients: organic wheat flour (with added calcium, iron, niacin, thiamine). Contains allergens: gluten.
