Cool Chile Co Tomatillo Sauce 260g

Description

Tomatillo sauce by the Cool Chile Co packs a fresh, tangy flavour that will lighten up any Mexican meal. This sauce is medium spiced and is made with tomatillos and fresh coriander. Tomatillos have a unique and tart flavour profile, bringing the perfect balance to rich meat or bean-laden savoury dishes.

Brighten your morning by adding this tangy sauce to a Mexican brunch. Use for making chilaquiles, enchiladas or huevos rancheros.

To make chilaquiles, heat the tomatillo sauce in a pan over a low heat until simmering. Then add four handfuls of corn tortilla chips and toss to coat. Serve in bowls with crème fraiche, diced onion and fried eggs on top.

Dodie Miller, founder of Cool Chile Co, believes that there are certain warm, earthy flavours and smells that instantly transport you to Mexico. Whether it's salsas and sauces made with toasted dried chillies, tortillas fresh from the comal, Mexican oregano rubbed over pozole, or black beans bubbling in a pot with epazote, these are the tastes and spice sensations that they want to bring into your home.

Once opened, refrigerate and use within 4 weeks.

Ingredients: tomatillos (73.7%), onion, coriander, sunflower oil, sea salt, hot green chilli. Made in a factory that handles gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, celery, soybeans, milk, nuts, mustard, sesame. Allergens are listed in bold.
