A bamboo stem pot is a dramatic way of cooking South East Asian rice dishes. The long hollow bamboo stem pot imbues rice with a subtle, distinctive bamboo flavour.

To use the bamboo stem pot
Wrap the entire bamboo stem pot in aluminium foil. Fill with pre-steamed rice. Place the lid on the bamboo stem pot and cook in a pre-heated oven for 15 minutes at 180°C. Also try topping the rice with prawns, scallops and crab sautéd with garlic and curry paste before baking in the oven.
