This almond paste is made from 100% roasted almonds. Almond paste, or 'creme d'amandes', is a basic ingredient of French patisserie. Fold into creme patissiere to add roasted almond depth to pastries and tarts.

Use to make rich, nutty ice-creams and cake fillings. Enrich cookies with the almond paste and mix it with sugar to fill almond croissants. Almond paste is particularly useful for lining tarts to stop pastry from going soggy or for taking the edge off a lemon tart. Even use almond paste in the base of bread doughs for richness and depth of flavour.

Pistachio paste, hazelnut paste and a trio of nut pastes are also available.

Ingredients: 100% almonds. It is processed in a factory that processes all nuts including peanut, so is not recommended for someone allergic to any nut type.
