Swibo knives are made in Switzerland by Wenger – the makers of the original Swiss Army knife. They’re high quality and well-weighted, with an ergonomic handle which encourages good knife skills. While many companies make a product and then pay a chef to endorse it, we research the products actually used by top chefs – and the Swibo knives are a prime example. These chefs’ knives are excellent value for high quality, professional knives.

The rest of our knives are for specific culinary uses. It’s unsafe to open oysters with anything other than the short, strong blade of an oyster knife. And each Japanese knife has a specific role in the Japanese kitchen, which a Western equivalent knife won’t manage in quite the same way.
