Coconut Milk

Does anything evoke the sunshine of warmer climes than the taste of coconut milk? Coconut milk is a milky liquid extracted from grated coconut flesh. It serves as a key ingredient in curries, soups, and desserts, imparting a distinctive coconut taste while also adding a silky texture.

How to use coconut milk

Often used in Thai, Indian, and Caribbean cuisine, its sweet notes pair well with the heat of chilli. Coconut milk can be a dairy-free alternative for those with dietary restrictions.

Creamed coconut, on the other hand, is a concentrated block or solidified form of coconut extract.

It's a pantry staple for bakers, adding depth and moistness to cakes, biscuits, and confections. When dissolved in warm water, creamed coconut transforms into a thick, creamy liquid, perfect for enriching curries.

Coconut milk powder is similarly versatile - simply add water to rehydrate it back into coconut milk.
